The Environmental Protection Agency has published details of two forthcoming lectures relating to climate change, both of which will be held in the Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2. Details as follows:
Lecture 9: For Peat’s Sake – Bogs and Climate Change - Tuesday 27 October 2009
Speaker: Professor Hans Joosten, Head of the Mire and Palaeo Ecology Institute in University of Griefwald, Germany.
A member of the Belarusian delegation to the UNFCCC where he has advised on inclusion of peatlands in future actions to address climate change. Date: Tuesday 27 October 2009, 18.30-20.30.
Lecture 10: Back to the Future – The Role of Climate Science - Tuesday 24 November 2009
Speaker: Professor Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, Head of Climatology and Environmental Sciences, University Catholique de Louvain.
